This Deutsch Crimping Tool is the only approved way to crimp the closed female pins and closed male pins. This crimping method is far superior to the open method as it puts equal pressure from the outside of the connector to the wire being crimped. It also has a variety of gauge settings to ensure there is no over or under crimping.

A Deutsch connector consists of a Pin that is crimped onto the wire using either a special Crimping Tool or a standard set of open barrel crimpers. The pins then go into a weather proof wire seal that is inside of the Pin Housing. Finally a locking wedge ensures that the pins are aligned properly.
